For everybody who is interested in using Teamspeak, I've created a small step-by-step tutorial which explains how to set up the Teamspeak 2 client to join the Tapestry Teampeak server.
Update 2005-09-28: Teamspeak broadcasting tutorial is online.
If you are just looking for the server address, look at this picture.

Before you can start Teamspeaking, of course you have to get it and install it first. Go to www.goteamspeak.com.

At the right bar you can find a link "TS2 Client" which will start the download of the Teamspeak client software. After the download is complete, start the executable. This will launch the TeamSpeak 2 Setup Wizard which you can see below. Follow the instructions of the setup program.

After the setup has finished successfully, your Teamspeak client software should be installed.
(Important information: As I'm using the German version of Windows XP with English sound drivers, the languages of the captions you can see on the screen shots are totally mixed up. However, the English expressions are used in the text and you should be able to follow the steps anyway.)
Before you can use Teamspeak, you'll have to check your sound settings. Open the Volume Control program by double-clicking on the small speaker at the right part of your task bar or by using the Run command of the start menu. Click Start->Run and enter sndvol32. After clicking the OK button, the Volume Control window should open. It might not look exactly like this, but that doesn't really matter.
(Note: The Mute checkbox below the volume control of the microphone should be ticked at this point. Otherwise you would hear yourself all the time.)
Now click Options->Properties.

A properties dialog should open.

If you have an USB headset, you will have to select your headset in the mixers drop-down list first.
Click on Recording.
The list at the bottom of the dialog should change a little bit. Make sure that the microphone list item is ticked.
Click OK now. The Volume
Control window should change into Recording Control.
Tick the Select
box for the microphone here and move the volume controller to the upper
part of the scala. If you notice that this setting produces a sound
signal that is too loud, you will have to adjust it later.
If there's no button labeled "Advanced" below the checkbox, activate the Advanced Controls in the Options menu first. In the case that the button still doesn't appear below the Microphone, you can safely skip the rest of this step. Otherwise click on the Advanced button now. In the opening dialog, there might be a setting named Mic Boost or something like that. If you can find a similar setting, tick that one and click close. Otherwise you probably won't have to care about it.
Now you've successfully set up your sound settings. To check if the settings are correct, you can use the Windows Sound Recorder. You can launch it by clicking Start->Run, then typing "sndrec32" into the box and clicking OK.
Just record some short sentences, click stop and play it again to check if you can hear your own voice. If this recording test wasn't successful, there seem to be some problems with your sound drivers. You should ask a technical person for help.
To set up Teamspek, you will have to start it now. It should look like this:

If you're using an USB headset, you'll have to click Settings->Options now. Then you'll have to select your USB headset as the Input and Output Device. After doing so, just click OK and continue with the next steps.
To prevent much confusion by echoes ('feedbacks') that can be caused by Teamspeak's default settings, we will set up a key which has to be pressed when you want to talk later on. To accomplish that click Settings->Sound Input/Output Settings.

The sound settings dialog will show up.
You have to click Push to talk there.
Now click on the Set button. A window will show up, asking you to press a key.

Chose any key you want to talk with. A good choice is the control (Ctrl) key. After the key was set up you can close the sound settings dialog again.
Teamspeak can store servers in its internal list to which we'll add the Tapestry server. To add a server to the list, start by clicking Connection->Connect.
The Connect To Server dialog will show up.
Click with the right mouse button on Servers and choose Add Server.
A new list item will be created. Enter "Tapestry" into it.
Now push the enter key. The right part of the dialog will change. Enter "shard.urutapestry.us" into the text box Server Address and your nickname into Nickname. (Note: The old .com domain doesn't exist anymore. You have to use the .us suffix.)

Before you can connect, you will have to tick the radio button Anonymous.

Now the moment has come. You can click Connect!
Using Teamspeak is very simple: Just double-click on a channel you want to join and you're in. (Well... sometimes a password is necessary.)

I hope, this tutorial was helpful for you. Have fun with Teamspeak!
