Title of this piece goes back to a
poem by Emily Dickinson (1862).
Representation is founded on analytical models for the
movement of the moon (ELP 2000-85, Chapront/Touzé 1987)
and sun (VSOP 87, Bretagnon/Francon 1988),
calculation abridged.
Visible phases between calculated dates of new moon are linear interpolated;
further all forms of unregular darkness have been completely neglected.
