Hello, dear reader!!! My name is Malte Schulze, born on the 28.02.1977 and I'm "abonnent" of the GO64! since nearly 1997. I will bring you an extension/update of the already known Stereo-Sid-Expander (Source: GO64! 9/97). With the help of a good friend of mine, we've optimized this Expander like this: 1.) new electrical Layout (with PC-Programm "Eagle") 2.) direct-pluggable without cable 3.) size drastically optimized 4.) Stereo-Mono(pseudostereo) switchable (Stereo Output with 3,5mm-plug or Cinch on rear of C64) This Expander is long-time-tested in my own C64 and its amazingly good except one point: SIDs become relative hot Anyway it won't kill the SIDs, but you may install a cooling-cap. The height of the whole Expander (without cooling-cap) isn't that much, so you can install it in nearly any C64/128. I've scanned the Expander for better understanding (see Pics) Oh, I almost forgot the Stereo/Mono-Switch, wich you have to install in the chassis of C64 or even "let it hang around". The Mono(Pseudo-Stereo) Switch isn't necessary, if you like it the original way (left ear bleeding ;-)), but it sounds much better, if you install it to have both speakers give you the perfect C64-Sound and it sounds like Stereo because of the differencys of SIDs. Anyway both SIDs get the same Music-Data via the "CS"-Pin (Chip select). (For all interestet people who can't build the Expander by themselfes I'll give you the chance to obtain that thing in a pluggable version, just to put it in and enjoy the sound of C64 in a stereo-way *g* It'll cost you only the Materials and P&P/shipping, good?) !!!!! I am NOT forced to give you that service, it's only goodwill !!!!! You only have to write me an e-mail and "on it goes"! Via E-Mail to: 'malte@athomebymalte.de' Thank you very much for your interest! See you soon!! Bye...
