A never forgotten flight with a Lockheed Electra

At the 24.September 1978 we have had an unforgettable flight with Aerocondor flight OD130 from Bogota to Medellin. Aircraft for today was the Aerocondor L188A,c/n 1081 with the reg. HK-1415.This Electra was delivered at 17.08.1959 as N6120A for American Airlines. She flew as "Flagship Newark" until 17.04.1970 for American Airlines when she joined the fleet of Aerocondor Colombia. Take off in Bogota was at 07.10 in the morning.We took place in the aft lounge and start to enjoy the travel in our beloved L188A. After approximately 15 minutes flight time we saw dark black smoke from engine number 4 . A short walk throug the cabin to the forward windows showed us that engine number 4 was stopped.
