Velvet Darkness

Velvet Darkness was founded in winter 1999/2000. I got my first bass guitar
at the end of 1995, followed up by a synthesizer in 1998. Now I started in
writing some parts. In the beginning of 1999 I fulfilled my long time wish to
play also the guitar. Within the time 1995 and 2002 I joined a lot of more
unknown bands named: Mooncircle (Deathmetal/vocals), Eyes of Death
(Deathmetal/vocals), Northwind (Melodic Deathmetal/bass guitar and
backing vocals), Beltane (Gothicmetal/bass guitar), Dark Fate
(Powermetal/vocals), Temple of tipareth (Blackmetal/bass guitar), Non
valueless art (Pagan-Blackmetal/bass guitar) and The Escape (Gothicrock
and Wave/bass guitar). I had always to divide my ideas for Velvet Darkness
and the band I had been joining. And this was not possible at all. At the end
of 1999 the conclusion was that I considered only to follow my aim. To do
the music I ever wanted to do without any limits. You're able to discover
nearly all the stiles I listen to. I just want no rules, what kind of stile I've got
to play. I do the music close to my current emotions.

Records of both projects are planned to be released late 2005. Maybe it will
be a split record, but there's nothing considered, yet. If it would not be a
split I will release the new "Velvet Darkness" album inkl. a remastered
version of "Thy beloved sun". The new version of "Snowflakes" I made
meanwhile will be released as bonus track on the first sold CD's (limited to
20 pieces).

News: I bought a violin some weeks ago and will try to introduce it into
new songs for "Velvet Darkness". My play might be enough for some
background sounds...
